So the Demo came out this week. I played a game using 'Game Flow' and actually really liked it, I played as the Jets, so I have a feeling the OC will be different with Manning, but being told the play through the headset is really awesome.

I tried to run the Wildcat once with it, and it seems that like in the NFL, the game has found out how to effectively stop it from gaining big yards...

The only irritating thing with it so far is in kicking, I managed to get squib kicks and onside kicks pretty much nailed in 10, but with this new control system it seems a bit lacking in terms of determining accuracy.

Locomotion seems cool too, with Greene picking up a nice 15yard TD and a 30 yard run because of leaning away from defenders :D

All in all, I'm looking forward to it's full release and hopefully if other Macrumors people play it, setting up a league.

The only thing I'm not looking forward to is the fact that the USA gets it on my birthday, but I have to wait 3 extra days :(

With all respect...if you are having to ask what to do with a DMG, do you really think you should be installing OSX server?

Exactly. OP is not the target audience of OS X server.

I'm looking to get a network drive enclosure for a hard drive I have right now. I'm looking specifically for an enclosure I can access from many computers hooked up to the same router.

I currently have a hard drive, but it may be dying, so if you have an enclosure with a drive that has 100GB+ of space on it... we can deal!

Keep in mind, I don't wanna spend over $100, and that's the absolute highest I'm able to go, so I'd rather pay less.

Please post here if you think you might have what I need.

Microcenter has the 2011 13" i5 model on sale for $999 plus tax. You can't beat that deal (assuming you have a Microcenter nearby).

(Note: Don't take the hood off a monitor and start poking around inside unless you are conversant with high voltage safety precautions or have a paid up life insurance policy. Those puppies have enough juice to stun a horse in them even when unplugged.)

Very good, sound advice. That being said I have salvaged many a discarded monitor doing little more than a degauss and adjusting the flyback transformer(the dangerous part.) I have heard that there is enough "zap" inside to send a man clear across the room.

ok so I was happy to finally install Pro Tools (I'd had issues installing it on my previous machine) and it all went well but it won't recognise my Mbox 2 Pro and since I am still using Pro Tools 8 (which requires hardware to be connected at all times) it won't even start up

I have followed the steps where I do some stuff in the Mbox 2 Pro firmware folder; which failed. then I installed the drivers on a PC and connected it which seemed to work (the light on it stayed solid rather than flashing when it was plugged in) but when I went back to my MBP it still wasn't working so I did some more skimming of the Avid website and found this article:

    http://avid.custkb.com/avid/app/selfservice/search.jsp?DocId=207933

surely this cant be right, is there any way around it, the only FW drives I have are an 800 drive and a 400 drive with no chain out

If that happens I will be amazed. Android is so fragmented and un-secure, Apple would not release anything related to it. Im not saying that I wouldn't welcome iTunes for Android but I just cant see it ever happening.

So is Windows, but you can buy iTunes content from there...

You don't even need to call. You can register when you install or start OS X for the first time.

You mean re-register which results in owervriting my old registration on Apple's servers?
That's probably what happened if it works like that cause I viped the drive before I sold it.
Thank's for all the previous answers :)

I have one. Two hard drives failed within the first year but were replaced by Apple for free and since then no problems. Other than the fact that it's a bit outdated (I want the multitouch trackpad, bigger HDD, more ram, still running leopard, etc) it's still going strong.

I have a Tmobile Dash in good condition. The screen has had a screen protector (ZAGG) since day one. The phone is in great shape. I have software unlocked the phone and I have loaded WM6.1 on it.

Only sign of wear and tear is the bottom where the USB is and the top right. They have some scratches, but not apparent upon close inspection.

Im hoping to sell it for $100 USD shipped.

I'm currently trying to build up several audio systems bit-by-eventually-replaceable-bit, and I was hoping to get a little advice.

First, I mainly use a late-2008 MacBook in my home office hooked up to a Dayton APA-150 that I so far quite like, with that driving a pair of Polk Audio M-40s that I picked up for less than $100 new. I have a few thousand mp3 with bit rates varying from 32 to 320, with most at 192 or better, a few thousand ALAC files ripped from my CDs, and a growing handful of higher-resolution files from HD Tracks.
I'm presently thinking my upgrade path will be as follows:
Add a DAC now, in the future possibly a headphone amp, and maybe even a preamp/input switcher. At some point, the speakers will go to the living room, where I originally intended them, and will be replaced with something slightly smaller - Dayton b652s to start with, since they're cheap, then on to something better when I can afford it. I wouldn't mind adding a sub one day. The problem is, WHAT dac, headphone amp, etc?
In terms of DACs, I definitely want both USB and optical inputs, something that will handle the higher resolution files I'm just getting into, and if at all possible, something with a form factor roughly comparable to my amp. I've looked into the Fubar Mk II, Mk 4, and the Teradak Chameleon, but I'm hoping for more ideas in the US$200-400 range. Any advice?

Next, I currently have no audio gear in my living room at all, and I'd like to change that asap. Unfortunately, this also seems to be the area where I have the least clue on how to get started. In the living room, I currently have a PS3 and a few older game systems. I hope one day to add a Mac Mini to play digital music, just as my laptop does in the other room, to largely replace the PS3 for Netflix, and to play old emulated games. I don't have or care about cable, satellite, etc, just an antenna. I mostly use Netflix and DVDs, and don't care very much about BluRays.
For lack of a better idea, a receiver seems like the way to at least get started, and the Yamaha RX-V667 looks nice and seems to get good reviews. I don't care much about surround sound and have no place for rears at the moment, but it would be nice to hook everything up to one box and then have just the one cable headed to the TV instead of the mess of spaghetti back there now.
That said, there's something very nice about just putting in a CD and listening to music, without the TV being on - to simply push 'Play' and not have to bother with anything else. For this reason, at the very least I would like to add a decent stand-alone CD player or transport.
So, the big questions here are:
Will a receiver like the 667 and Mini be good enough to do most of my listening until I have the space and money to invest in a dedicated, audio-only setup, or should I skip on an a/v receiver altogether and go ahead and with an amp, CD player/transport, and DAC, more like I have in the office? Can I send audio from the Mini to the DAC in the receiver over HDMI, or will I have to run a separate TOSLINK? People have told me an Apple TV would be a better choice than a Mini, but just what is the ATV capable of audio-wise?

Lastly, I would like to put together a very small system for the bedroom. I plan on using an old 3rd gen iPod as the main source. The iPod only charges over FireWire, and its battery is shot, but I still want to get use out of it. How can I best put it to use?

I could be completely wrong, but it might refer to the case color having a shiny flake in the plastic. Like glitter. Think of a car paint job with shiny metallic flecks of glittery shimmers in it.

I know speck has made cases like that in the past. I could be off base though.

I just got an iPod, and when I connected it to my Mac, I allowed it to automatically sync. I have not created any playlists in iTunes, so the default ones were "90s Music", etc. I noticed that now my iPod Shuffle has all of the default playlists, the Music folder from my library, and the Purchased folder. I went ahead and deleted the default playlists from iTunes because I don't use playlists, and it was taken off the iPod. But both "Music" and "Purchased" folders are still on the iPod with the same songs (I have not ripped anything into iTunes). Is there any need for these two folders? Should I delete one or the other? How come the Music folder in the library will not let me drag songs where I want them?
