Hey Rower...
They contacted me. You should try it again. :)

Have you tried the Brightness widget/addon for SBSettings?

One question I still have though is, will a time machine backup from this current hard drive, once 'restored' onto the newly installed hard drive, be exactly the same? Is it that easy?
Yes and yes. I've restored from Time Machine backup several times. All settings, apps and data will migrate over. Heck, even the Finder windows I had open were restored.

Whoo the iMacs are impressive. What speed are you averaging on the computer? I just added my brothers computer to the Macrumors folding.

Well with things like these, it's best to either have some sort of hard object like a destk or something metal that will absorb the heat and act as a heat sink.
80 degrees Celsius isn't "that" hot so you shouldn't have a problem running the cpu at that that temperature. In terms of comfort for you, if you have one laying around you could get a skinny, hard backed book laying around the house or something of that nature and sit it on your lap.
No matter how much ventilation you have, the MB will always heat up, that's the result of the processors and other internals causing heat when put under stress. Unless the temperature in the room is somewhat low (and I mean around 70 F) it's going to stay hot.

I'm pretty sure mpw will beat you up for this. He's a right ol' bully.
Erm... I'm kidding. I reckon it's really cool albeit you don't get bountiful points for originality. :)

Problem has returned ....
I've been experiencing exactly the same problem for a while.
The most irritating thing is that I remember that it used to work fine, with the sharing being on after restarting. Now, despite having the internet sharing check box ticked, any connection without restarting it leads to a timeout.
Ridiculous.
And very annoying.

I have the USB mouse from MacMice and it is great. I do remember several users complaining about the Bluetooth one in an other forum. Try a search and you should be able to find it with no problem.

I'll at least show up for the free t-shirt! I'm planning on updating my MacBook when they refresh. I was at the Biltmore store for Panther and they gave away dog tags just for showing up.

I just received my iPad 2 in the mail yesterday. I have an original iPad which I have given to my wife. I set up my new iPad from a backup from my original iPad and everything worked fine except 3G. I was unable to set up a 3G account with AT&T because there was no cell number assigned to my new iPad 2.
I thought it was operator error so I restored the iPad 2 and set it up as a new iPad. Same problem. When I look under general settings>about>cellular number it says unknown. Is it possible Apple never assigned a cellular number to my new iPad 2? Anyone else have this problem? Called AT&T and they were no help. I have a genius bar appointment this afternoon, but would like to be able to fix this myself. Please help!

Who's gonna be there and what time is everyone showing up? I thought about getting there super early (like 6 am) but after reading a few posts, I've decided to just get there around noon or 1 o'clock. Four hours prior to launch time seems to be the most accepted time for showing up to an Apple product launch.

you should look into komodo edit (http://www.activestate.com/komodo-edit) it is free and it basicly is a great IDE for HTML (and other languages) it also has a built in browser for easy testing. I don't know if this is what you wanted, as it is more to and IDE then a text editor, but you should really try it out.:)

Also, note that when you have multiple tracks of audio layered in a section (even when the sequence settings match), you may need to render regardless. FCP handles .WAV files just as well as it will .AIFF.

I am running bootcamp with windows xp sp3. As far as I know, it pulls together all the correct drivers you would need(even though some things are still a bit wonky(audio/recording)).
Here (http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=1139689) is talk about my problems with it. Not sure if you can actually un-install bootcamp easily after you install it. I know it's possible, but I would not know how to do it.

... Any one has any resolution?Yes. Development systems are intended for developers. Don't use development systems for your day-to-day tasks. Don't use pirated development systems at all. When Lion is released to the public, you will have an opportunity to purchase it. Your purchase will provide an expectation that your software will work as intended. Until then, you have absolutely no expectation that any particular software title will work at all.

I've been out of the loop... I was running DDR3 1600 on a Core i7 920 seems like years ago. That official support was 1066 I think.
The official limit was a response to why Apple is using 1333MHz instead of 1600MHz. It has always been possible to run higher clocked RAM with certain CPUs and chipsets.

I have a 4Gb Iphone that has been used about a month and is now sitting on my desk collecting dust. I would actually be interested in that Imac. Can you send me pics? Im at work but i could get you pics when i get home. Thanks Kyle
I'd love to make the trade with you on the imac. I actually have it in my room at home (I'm at my apartment on campus at the moment). I could have you pics by the end of the weekend or on Monday. If that is okay. It's in 9.5/10 condition, comes with original clear apple mouse, original apple speakers (the little round ones), and a black generic keyboard.
