It does VGA at 1280x768, takes in two component (1 HD and the other 480p) and the standard composite and s-video and coaxial. The picture is really great on this, one tiny stuck pixel I can't even see now. (I feel I should be totally honest)
I have it listed here (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00006I5QY/102-3882792-5235300?v=glance&n=172282) but I'd be willing to cut a deal if you drop me a PM.
(BTW, this is widescreen, so it would look great with one of those new xbox 360s I know are out there)

I don't know much about AppleScript, but why escape from AppleScript into the shell just to enter AppleScript again.
Is the above not the equivalent of:
version of application "Application"
Would you look at that. You got it. And yea I knew the code I put didn't make any sense for some reason. Im pretty tired at this point...

I'm currently playing around with half a dozen different media player apps on my mba 13 ultimate setup. I can't seem to find a hands down favorite and I wanted to see what others are using?
Movist - my default media player at the moment though i've recently started having crashes on mkv's with embeded subtitles.
MplayerX - I absolutely love the way it looks with the borderless window but I can't seem to get it to work efficiently without skipping and choppiness.. watching a hd mkv over the network and it skips every 2 seconds.. same video files stream perfectly in movist or mplayer extended. Has anyone else had this problem?
VLC - my player of choice on pc and works sufficiently well on mac
Mplayer Extended - works great and i love that you can launch multiple instances. Interface is a bit lacking though.
any others?

I've read a bit about pageouts and RAM/OSX performance on MacRumors, but what I haven't been able to determine is how many pageouts are too many?
For the last 3 hours, I have been using a Dual 1.8 with 1.5GB RAM and have had the following pageins/pageouts according to Activity Monitor: 28883/1184.
Is this an indication that I need more RAM? Is there some type of rule or formula to determine how much I need based on the number of these pageouts?
generally you really only care about pageouts for doing quite intensive application and working with large files which you are not. in other words, you spent to much money on ram.

I've been looking at the lacie dvd burners and external HDs as well. Really like the F.A. Porsche design too. But alas, I've not yet taken the plunge. If you do, can you post a snippet about its performance? Thanks.

Yeah, I would just like one unit to serve both my USB and hdmi needs. What about this perhaps http://cgi.ebay.com/iPhone-4-iPad-iPod-Touch-4G-HDMI-USB-combo-adapter-/110674808362?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item19c4bb8e2a ?
Also if I buy this, do you think I could you a regular USB-USB cable to charge the iPad while it's connected with hdmi?

What's so bad about no Gilmour? This isn't Pink Floyd The Wall, it's Roger Waters The Wall. Plus The Wall is Waters' masterpiece. I can live without David's vocals on a few songs.

Inklet (http://tenonedesign.com/inklet.php) is a program that will turn your trackpad into a tablet so it works like the screen of an iphone/ipad. It works well and is not very expensive. There is a trial version so you can see if works for you. I use a capacitive stylus with Inklet and Autograph (http://tenonedesign.com/autograph.php) (by same company) with my macbook and macbook air.

I don't have a PS3, so I can't test this, but it looks like you should be able to force the PS3 to output audio separately from HDMI. It sounds like you can get away with just regular component cables for sound (as long as you don't want 5.1 or 7.1 surround), but take a look here (http://manuals.playstation.net/document/en/ps3/current/settings/audiooutput.html) and see if you can make sense of it. Like I say, I don't have a PS3, so I'm just guessing...
Yep, you can do that, I have with mine.

It seems a C2D 1.86GHz mobile CPU will do: http://www.ifixit.com/Guide/Repair/Installing-Mac-mini-Model-A1176-Core-2-Duo-Processor/1178/1
As to RAM: http://eshop.macsales.com/shop/mac-mini/
www.everymac.com is also a good spec resource.

In theory if you dock your iPad, (plug it into your PC) and right click on the name in iTunes you should see an option to restore your iPad, this should in theory restore all data for app store apps, (that support this feature), at this point this is your best option, I think...:)
Good luck,
Good luck,

OK, thanks. I might give it a try on my testing server to see if it really will fix the issues.
