I thought I'd drop by once we got power again. I live in San Bruno, across Sneath Lane from where the fire was, about a quarter of a mile north.
I saw the explosion last night as I came home from work. As I got out of the car, I heard a loud whooshing sound for a couple of seconds (long enough for me to walk from the car door to the sidewalk) then saw the fireball behind and just over the top of a stand of eucalyptus trees. The Crestmoor tract is about 20 feet below Sneath Lane level, and the trees are maybe 30-40 feet high so considering the distance (about 1500 feet), the fireball was likely 100 feet.
This happened at about 6:10 - my wife phoned my cell phone a couple of minutes later and the records show that was at 6:12.
We are all ok - we didn't even get smoke damage. The winds were in the opposite direction. We just had power out all night.

I'm not sure if there are regional restrictions, but have you tried Masters.com (http://www.masters.com/)? They have a ton of streaming coverage, if you can get it. Amen Corner and 15 & 16 have their own feeds, as well as 2 featured groups that they are following. Give it a shot and see if it is available for you.

I need an iPad Case so I might make the trip, better than London as it won't be as busy right?

Hmm. The card should work fine, in fact I've had that model Mac Pro with that card and have gamed in Windows with it, so I'd guess it'll work. No idea if it'll work with CUDA, it should though. Perhaps others will be able to chime in with more definitive answers.

Thank you for the reply!
I have an AAUI to IP transceiver so I'll give this a shot tomorrow.

You could also try WireTap... I believe it takes the output from the sound card (real audio streaming music) and records it as MP3.
wiretap (at least the version i have) records in aiff, so you have to convert to mp3 after you've recorded something.

Hey guys... I have owned an iPhone since 2007 and never jailbroke any of them until yesterday! It has been an amazing experience so far.
If you are on the fence and need a nudge over to the dark side, give my blog a read and you might just find yourself installing cydia :)

Hi all, I have a project I am trying to configure to use a UINavigationController. I have set up my NIB files as suggested in the Apple developer Docs (in the main window nib). I have also sucessfully managed to display my root view controller (that is, the view controller sitting at the top of the navigation stack. However, I cannot seem to display other levels of information. The reason is that my UINavigationController instance is defined in my App Delegate object, but the root view controller is defined in another class, a custom class inheriting from UIViewController. I don't understand how to display different levels of data unless the navigation interface is defined in the root view controller itself. I know I'm not proving an example of what I'm doing, but hopefully someone can point me in the right direction?
Many thanks for any info.

Maybe have a look at MPEG Streamclip (http://www.squared5.com/) to split audio from video, but transcoding is involved in this too.
The 'Save Track' option doesn't involve transcoding, but it may involve rewrapping.

I did this once, and it worked fine. Apple tells you to create a new user and copy the user files over to the new user.

Hi guys,
The ACD 27" has 3 cables. a USB cable, displayport and also a magsafe.
So this might be a stupid questionnnn...
but once the ACD is plugged into the MacPro.. does the magsafe just hang there for no reason?
I know theyre primarily designed for the MacBook Pros.. but people who have iMacs and MacPros are left with an ugly hanging cable?
Must look pretty ugly.. its not like Apple at all..
from apple.com:
MagSafe connector.
The LED Cinema Display includes a MagSafe connector that powers and charges your MacBook, MacBook Pro, or MacBook Air. The connector sits on your desk, ready and waiting. No need to unwind the cord to the power adapter that came with your notebook. Leave it exactly where it is, in your bag.
There's nothing to charge in the MacPro server.

It sounds like NSButton (or NSButtonCell) is shifting the NSRunLoop into a different mode while it tracks the mouse.
I'm assuming you're using either scheduledTimerWithTimeInterval:target:selector:userInfo:repeats: or scheduledTimerWithTimeInterval:invocation:repeats: to create your timer. These methods will only add the timer to the default run-loop mode.
Instead try using timerWithTimeInterval:target:selector:userInfo:repeats: or timerWithTimeInterval:invocation:repeats:, and then manually adding the timer to the run loop for the common mode.

i have a similar issue, but i thought it was the Quadro 4000's fan. i might be wrong, it could be the Mac Pro fans. but anyhow, yes, i hear the fans all day long. not sure what causes this. i do know that the Quadro 4000 runs very hot.
I'm pretty sure it's the quadro fans, I have noticed this on my work computer, after I installed this card as well.

Thanks eastercat and Applejuiced,
3GS not invited to the party, that's the missing link! I keep reading references to WiFi but it's not there on my 3GS.
I'll admit to never giving Bluetooth tethering a try, will have to do that sometime.
I was waiting for the white iPhone4, but now it seems prudent to hang on a while longer for the iPhone5.

Ok, now I feel better.. so, any size HDD is acceptable, just that it won't boot off of it. APM's max is 2.1TB.
