I have a series of .png still images of text with each still having a slight reflection on different parts of the text.
In motion, the stills come up as a 'PNG Sequence' (1sec1frame) when imported to the timeline, the text is animated, but id want to extend this animation to 3+ secs - just duplicating results in a 'dink' where one dupe stops and the other starts.
I have motion 4 and after FX CS5 though im more experienced with motion (prefer to do this in motion) - there are 25 still frames

make sure you add the applicationServices framework then use
double idleTime;
idleTime = CGEventSourceSecondsSinceLastEventType(kCGEventSourceStateHIDSystemState, kCGAnyInputEventType);
This will give you the time in seconds that the system has been idle.

Just curious: what was the final verdict on the 5870 and the '06/'07 models?
YES
However, it's probably better to get a 5770 as you will be bottlenecked by other parts of your machine and won't be able to take full advantage of the 5870's POWAH

I have TCF Bank, which a quick google search will yield what complete ********* they are. I've had my share of problems with them over the years and have every intention of dumping them like a hot potato the minute I'm back in America.
For the last three years, I've wired money home for my student loan, etc. It's all I use the account for--no extraneous sloppy spending.
For the last month there has been a residual, positive balance from paying last month's bills. Haven't used the account since, everything's long been posted. It's pretty simple--send home money, when it posts, pay bills.
I sent home money a few days ago. It posted. I paid my bills online, and am waiting for them to post.
I logged on just now to check on them, and see that TCF has now decided to screw with the balance, so it will be $500+ negative once everything conveniently come in, and then they will hit me with NSF fees. Thinking what the hell is this, I looked back at the maximum history on my account (1 year), and now they show that as far back as that the account has had tons of times where it's been negative, which is not the case.
So they've screwed with the account balance, manipulating it so it's massively negative so they can screw me. Two days ago I had a positive balance with everything posted.
Has anyone else's acct. shown similar strange activity the last couple days? I dread calling them because they absolutely, positively, are NEVER wrong.

After much waiting thinking of whether to take the plunge with new iMac i7 for AVCHD video editing. Should I also take the plunge with FCE4 or is iMovie 11 able to native import AVCHD, or will need a AVCHD M2TS converter to prevent having massive 10GB+ video files created by iMovie
Thoughts and suggestions ?
I am interested in this, too. I have been editing AVCHD files in iMovie '11 and am looking for some other way as the files are huge and importing the files takes a while. I think it's because iMovie has to convert everything into .mov files.
I got a Nikon D5100 to shoot video with and hope that those files will be easier to work with and import into iMovie '11.

Wow, I can't believe I didn't think of that, I'm a genius. The only thing is, Can I download the Windows version and burn the .exe onto a disk? I'm trying to set up an old windows PC in the garage and turn it into a jukebox.
Yup.
You shouldn't have any probs doing that.

Hey guys I'm in a bit of a hole here, I bought a jailbroken ipad with 4.2.1 on it and tried to reset content on it from settings menu and I'm stuck now.
I tried hosts trick, redsn0w, tinyumbrella, but without the shsh blobs saved can't move but up to 4.3.1 I think which I don't want.
Anyone have any smart solution to this without upgrading? Oh btw I get error 3194 when restoring in Itunes. Thanks much guys.

are there alternatives to these scripts?
i'd like to get F@H setup on a couple of rigs here at work and it's generally better to keep the terminal hidden so people don't kill it.

I can not edit song info using my iTunes. When I do File->Get Info and then go to the info Tab all the fields appear to be read-only. I can not edit. Can anybody tell me how to do it?
Thanks Is that just one song? It might have something wrong with it. If it is all of them - try repairing permissions?

My 15" Titanium Powerbook can play DVDs ok, but when I insert a blank one to write onto, it spits it out after about 5 seconds.
Any advice?

It sounds like it might even be the DC-in board. If you're handy, you could even replace it yourself, depending on your model of MacBook it's around $30 here (http://www.ifixit.com/MacBook-Parts/MacBook-MagSafe-DC-In-Board/IF186-019).

Alright first I thought it was a drive failure but now I know it wasn't. I took the hard drive out of my daughter Macbook Pro mid 2009 and installed the hard drive out of my Macbook Pro mid 2009 both 13 inch. Her computer won't boot to my drive when I know it's working fine. I get the apple and the spinning wheel and that's as far as it goes. After time I will get a circle with a line through it. Any ideas what could be causing this?:mad:

if your machine shipped with SL you must use a disk that came from an identical machine, otherwise the disc won't hold the drivers necessary.

Okay, I'm in over my head. Look like I need to first learn about frames. Mods, you can lock or delete this thread. Sorry about that. I thought I was close to finishing. Little did I know!!

I was curious if any of you know if there is any external speaker attachment that would connect through the headphone port and provide sound? I have an iPod Nano 6g and thought it would be cool to listen to music while reading. My idea of a speaker would be similar to Switcheasy's Thumbtack, but a speaker rather than microphone. Let me know as I havbe searches all over the place!

This to me sounds like a battery problem. How old or new is the iPod? I have an iPod Classic 160 from 2006 and works and syncs fine but my older classics are starting to act up and are becoming really, really slow probably most likely from the software updates etc. That's my guess.
It is only about 2 years old. So unfortunately it isn't covered under warranty any more.
Looks more like an hard drive failure, does it make weird clicks?
Yes it does make some weird sounds, the hard drive is actually very noisy when it runs.
