I got it working, what I had left out was i had to add the application on to the iTunes.
Some of the forum members had already told me of this particular step,
but i am a bit confused about that, and i thought it will be creating Application ID in iTunes which i had already done with.
Now i realised that both Application adding and creating application ID is necessary.
Now the application works fine.

Reset the SMC (see link in sig). It could be the power board is not functioning. On some MacBooks, this is a separate board.

His asking price is too high. As others have pointed out, you can get a much better one completely new for not much more than he wants for his used one. In fact, if you wait for a refurbished one direct from Apple, you can get really close to his price and still get a much better current model.

If you really want to read it to her from your iPad then you could try getting the Kindle app and purchasing the story through it. I have several books that I'm reading from the Kindle app.

For your text ( #membershipcontent ), remove the "position: relative" and/or "left: 285px"
Think of relative positioning as a "nudge" -- the browser does most of the rendering and then moves any elements relatively positioned by the number of pixels you tell it. In your case, 285px on the left which bumps it to the right.

Yes, of course. You are essentially asking if one computer can access files on another computer in the same network. This, obviously can be done very easily. The time capsule, will not store any of this information.
Now if you want to ask how this can be done or how this can be prevented, that will be determined by the security on the machines.

I haven't got any spare keys to map to it, though - I've assigned them to other things, and most of its features clash with Quicksilver.
Thanks for the suggestion, though.

Yup, I got the black 32GB WiFi with the (PRODUCT)Red smart cover. The line at Mayfair was pretty intense. It went out the door into the parking structure. I was pretty lucky that I got there when I did. I was finished by about 5:25. Which one did you end up with?

You keep this site in good order. Thanks for the coverage, thanks for feeding us with a constant stream of curious, interesting, trivial and not-so-trivial, wonderful, and well, all kinds of information.

Android 2.2 on a Dell Streak includes a hotspot at least on the Rogers version.

No mention about safari or does that fall into the "catch all" browser category. <snip>
I'm not sure, but I suspect it does get thrown in that catch-all category, since it uses a different rendering engine from WinIE, MacIE, and Gecko (Netscape-based browsers).

I believe you can run up to 10.2.8 on a Beige, but I agree that it's getting a bit too old to be usable these days.

I had a similar problem when I first installed an HDMI switch. I changed the switch to an older one and it worked.
I have a sneaky feeling that maybe newer HDMI equipment is more strict about DRM rules on handshaking (aka HDCP) whereas maybe the older HDMI equipment ignored those flags.
Some people say that if you go into the control panel of Mac Min and change sleep settings to display always on, this problem will go away. I have never investigated this since I already put in the new HDMI switch.

it depends on what kind of wifi networks youre consistently on.
if you're using public or semi-public wifi networks, then you should probably change your root password.
OR
you can install SBSettings and keep the SSH toggle off and only turn it on when needed, which is what i do. keep in mind that every time you restart it will automatically turn SSH access back on, which is a safety measure in the case something gets corrupted.
Thanks for the reply!
I hadn't noticed that there's a SSH toggle in SBSetting. I'll turn that off for now.
Also MobileTerminal doesn't seem to work on iOS 4. So I'll have to wait anyway.
Thanks for your help!

Did the movie play fine on the Mac earlier or another PC? Is it the latest WMV10 codec (which is un-playable on Macs)?
Hi MJ...yes it did...all seemed fine..some Quicktime trilers have lost their sound too...the WMP dislpays that warning and freezes!

I was trying to install MySQL on my iMac and screwed something up. LOL I dragged the zip files to my var folder and extracted it. I am not sure where the files went. I am also now getting a blue home and net button along with a .DS_Store file, that I cannot delete, on my desktop that is driving me crazy. How can I completely uninstall all the MySQL files that I just installed. I don't want to accidentally delete something that I shouldn't.

I have both and both are great but for completely different uses.
The iPad can make some remarkable art in the hands of someone talented, but its something that would probably not be the choice for most professional use.
The wacom is most likely what you are looking for and you will probably want the inking pen if you are doing tracing. I have the bluetooth wacom (its the third wacom I've owned) and I love it. I've been using wacoms for years. They detect tilt, pressure, and with the right pen, barrel rotation. They do take some time to get used to though. Most people hate their wacom for the first few weeks then love it.
Honestly I like using both and would recommend both if its in your budget. If portability is key give the iPad a try you can return it if it doesn't fit your needs. If portability isn't important, grab a wacom tablet.

Depending on model, the new iMacs ship with Core i5-2400S (low-end 21"), i5-2500S (high-end 21" and low-end 27"), i5-2400 (high-end 27") CPU's in their standard configurations. BTO variants are available with Core i7-2600S (high-end 21"), and Core i7-2600 (high-end 27").
I actually didn't know the iMac used all low-power Sandy Bridge designs ("S") for their CPU's except for the high-end 27" model (both in its BTO variant and not).
All CPU's here were introduced in early 2011 and I believe at the same date as the 2500K. :)
