So, it is possible? How wonderful! I'll save a few bucks through not buying an external DVD for Air one day I purchase it.

Hi there,
I bought a device that lets me record and watch Satellite TV on my computer. The downside is that it doesnt work on OS X but works on Windows XP, 7 ...
This is the product http://www.technisat.com/indexf461.html?nav=Sat_DVB_S_,en,1294131238891-228 (http://www.technisat.com/indexf461.html?nav=Sat_DVB_S_,en,1294131238891-228) It's Called TechniSat SkyStar USB 2 HD CI (http://www.technisat.com/indexf461.html?nav=Sat_DVB_S_,en,1294131238891-228)
I was wondering if I install windows 7 with boot camp if it will work with my MacBook Pro
also I wanted to Install ProgDVB (http://www.progdvb.com/progdvb.html)to work with it, is it compatible as well
Thank you hope to hear back from you :)

Hi,
Just curious, if there really a big difference between the Radeon 6750M & 6770M performances in the 21.5" iMacs?
Previously I was using the 21.5" i3 iMac, with 256Mb Radeon 4670. Completed Crysis 2 & Portal 2 on Boot Camp. Resolution was decent at medium settings with no lag. AA & AF all turned off.
I know that I'm not getting the best resolutions but neither am i getting the worst. In the 1st place, expectations have to be lowered since I was using the lowest-end iMac for gaming.
Kinda glad (and lucky i guess) i sold off my 2010 21.5" iMac bout 1 month back. The newly revised specs & pricing are a huge welcome.

The Mac Mini 2011 is expected to have an Intel Sandy Bridge CPU, Intel integrated graphics and Thunderbolt.
Yeah, i know, this option is most probably, but apple realy likes OpenCL, and who knows ...

Are you using the latest Adium beta, the current release 1.4.1 has major issues with msn.
There is a beta 1.4.2b1 that fixes many issues.
Download it here:
http://beta.adium.im/
Since its beta, i find it very glitchy...
I've had these troubles for YEARS with Adium. Fortunately, I just gave up on using anything but Adium for my MSN-ing, and now that MSN is slowly dying off (at least amongst my friends), I've actually moved to iChat w/Facebook chat instead.
Seems that's what all the cool kids are doing these days.
Text, facebook chat and skype!

you need to restore the iphone using itunes but instead run the restore with a custom firmware.

Thanks for reply . It is obviously visible that the complaint is about 10.4 sdk
I was bit surprized by the error message having reference to 10.4 sdk but all the frameworks belong to to absolute path "/System/Library/Frameworks/***.framework"
(by clicking get Info button on individual frameworks)
So find the source file giving the error, Preprocess, and check where and why it includes that header file.
And System frameworks should have Path Type = Relative to current SDK.

oh on second thought, i do have an external hard drive with my time machine stuff on it, could i some how boot from that?
Time machine backups are not bootable. You would need to reinstall osx one way or another then restore the backup.

I had an idea, in the iFixIt teardown they mentioned it is now possible to replace the graphics chips in the new iMac's, I would like to buy a base model iMac, 999. And then swap the graphics in for a AMD Radeon HD 6970M graphics chip with 1GB or 2GB memory.
But I can't find any chips online to buy? Can you not buy these?
You can find them, but its hard and they are expensive. Apart from that it is not a good idea to open an new iMac and void the warranty by messing around with the internals.

He's saying that the iBook won't go to sleep as set in the Energy Saver preferences. It only goes to sleep when he closes the lid or chooses it from the menu.
As to fixing the problem, I don't know.

Griffin PowerWave is what you want...
iB USB ---> PowerWave (w/ speaker break-out box)---> Speakers.
BTW, they are now discontinued, but you can find one on eBay, ;)
I use mine with some Apple Pro Speakers, and they ROCK!!!

I wouldn't be surprised if apple releases backlit WIRED keyboards. Unfortunately, unless apple can come up with a more elegant way to charge the Wireless KB (micro USB, hell even a dock connector) I doubt we'll see a wireless backlit KB. The battery life on them currently sucks, I wouldn't want them to drain any faster.

Hey everyone,
I had a question for ya'll. My sister's 14 inch iBook's hard drive is about to die (the clicking sound) and instead of replacing the hard drive, she is thinking about just selling the iBook and purchasing a new MacBook or MacBook Pro. My question is how much would the iBook be worth today? Here are the specs.
14 inch 1.33 GHz iBook (purchased late 2005 I believe)
768MB RAM
80GB hard drive
Superdrive
(dying hard drive I believe)
Thanks everyone!
EDIT: She does have all of the installation discs and Tiger as well as the box (told her to keep it).
