Watch a video (http://eshop.macsales.com/installvideos/mac_mini_g4/) on how to replace the hard drive in an iMac G4.

I did the original Sn0wbreeze 2.3b1 and had Infinidock working on my iPad running iOS 4.3. I installed Infinidock first, I have just upgraded to Sn0wbreeze 2.3b3, and this time I installed winter board first, now Infinidock no longer works, I'm hoping this is related to the install order? I had also installed the mobile substrate update after Infinidock, and still had seven dock icons...
Well as I figured I'll just have to wait for the update to Infinidock.

Yeah, you only need one. :)
Doing it with two would require some sort of adaptor or something to be able to plug the second external (third in total) display into AFAIK. I'm not sure that it's possible but I could be wrong.
I see. Thanks for the info. I was hoping all I need is one external monitor, so that works great.

We don't answer questions until there are at least three duplicate threads:

Anyway, the current MBP doesn't overheat, it runs hot. Overheating would mean it gets so hot that it flips the safety switch and turns itself off. The current complaint is that Apple did a piss-poor job applying thermal paste to the processor by putting way too much, causing the cpu to run hotter than it should. Apple is not the only manufacturer that does this, my Dad sets up laptops for businesses (usually HP) and has to reapply thermal paste pretty often. Don't let that discourage you from buying the current MBP.
Also it only runs really hot (i.e. the fans kick in full blast) while either gaming or during intense cpu activity such as video processing. For standard college stuff (web surfing, document editing, watching a streaming lecture) it runs quiet.

What AdrianK says is correct. If you can find "3rd party" servers that run an older version of the game pre 4.0, then you should be able to play just fine. Unfortunately, playing on the official servers will no longer be possible, due to blizzard removing the ppc executable from the game.

Ok,
Got the thing working, thanks...
Back to this step: http://phpnuke.org/modules.php?name=PHP-Nuke_HOWTO&page=database-creation.html
But how would I actually "populate" the nuke.sql database? Do I have to move any files anywhere in order to accomplish this? Does the nuke.sql have to be in any specific folder?
Thanks for helping out a n00b so far!

yeah, Three-Speech later updated and said 2K told them it was only for 360 and PC. One would imagine it would eventually come to PS3, especially if it sells well, but meh! I'll snag it for my 360 :D
Lair better come out in July, this spring is a dry wasteland for good games :( aside from paper mario anyway.

You could try a restore, then update. That may clear the issue with it.
Thanks for the reply. It was a good idea but it won't even let me restore it (same thing, "There was a problem downloading the software for the iPod, "Kimblee". You do not have enough access privledges for this operation.").

Simply connect the external DVD drive with your 10.5 disc, open Disk Utility (under Utilities on the Mac Mini) right click on the 10.5 DVD, will be on the left side panel of Disc Utility, select the restore option with the 10.5 DVD as your source and the Mac Mini hard drive as destination.

So I'm pretty much brand new to the FaH scene (25% through my first work unit!), and I think it's pretty cool. I do research in pharmacology myself at the University of Pittsburgh, so I figure I might as well throw my idle cpu cycles into this project.
Thus far I've run across FahMon and InCrease, both which work pretty well. I'm wondering if there are any better apps to monitor FaH, which also include the ability to pause FaH, for the mac (leopard specifically)???
Thanks :)

Hi,
since i need a new laptop i'm considering to go mac.I just have to figure out the screen size.
So, could anyone here who owns both machines, Macbook Pro and Hp Elitebook, post a picture (side by side comparison) of them?
I would really appreciate that.

I also kicked around the idea but I would like an unlimited plan. Guess Mozy wouldn't be a contender should I ever go this route.

hello... i just started ableton yesterday and my projects which uses about 20-25 percent CPU now use about 40 percent (without changing any VSTs, Samples)... i was checking mine activity monitor and theres no other programs run which use too much CPU or RAM. Do anybody have idea what could cost it?
i tried this thinks: software Cocktail, Disk Warrior, Cleanmymac, reset pram nvram, repair disc permissions and it didnt help., reinstaling CoreAudio Drivers
I was not installing any software except gfxCardStatus and nVIdia Cuda drivers (for chancing GPU - i tried uninstal it , thats not problem)
im running OS X 10.6.6 on macbook pro (mid 2010) with 2.66 Ghz intel i7 processor, HDD 5400 rotation rate,
m-audio fast track pro with 512 buffer size, 44.1 sample rate
Ableton Live 8.2.1
only weird think i notice that can cost it, its maybe Macbook temperature, it goes about 70-80 C when i work in ableton (or maybe its normal?) and that when i open project, cpu shows about 17-20 percent usage without playing sound (stopped playback).
(sorry for my bad english) i hope somebody can help me

You will have the 3G model then, what you want to do is upgrade to 4.1 then jailbreak that using "limera1n or greenpois0n" there are many instructional websites, or just ask back here for help.
But 4.1 is your best option
But of course, to upgrade to 4.1, you would need to have your SHSH blobs saved... Only 4.2.1 would not require blobs, and no general untethered jailbreak for it is out yet...

Why not ask your son?
+1 on this.
He should know what he does and doesn't want more than anyone here. Tell him the budget and let him figure it out.

putting the tape on the iphone instead will completely stop the type of friction you're trying to prevent.
but to use a bit of sense, plastic is infinitely softer than the steel used in the band; at most it will only polish the steel to a minor degree, smoothing the matte surface of the steel. if the plastic is able to do this, so will the tape (and the increased tension will only exacerbate this effect). however, most of the scratching occurs from foreign material getting caught in between. this being the case, the adhesive at the edge of the tape will only increase the chances of this happening.
reversing the tape as suggested or simply cleaning the band occasionally is your best bet.
