From what you have said, it sounds to me like a depleated battery, call a local Apple Authorised Service provider and find out how much an exchange battery will cost you, and go from there.
I hope this helps

I recently started putting my movies on an 120GB iPod because my 32GB iPhone couldn't handle them all.
I've noticed, however, that the movies are all just sorted alphabetically.
Is there a way to group them into folders (as we all do with our music), so that I can keep all of my school videos together, comedies together, tv shows together, etc.?
Currently I have a lot of school/science videos on my iPod and they run the gamut of titles (alphabetically)....from "Acids and Bases" to "Solubility"...so, obviously, there are other (non-science) video titles that iTunes just puts in between those (making my seamless study of all things science a little more kludgy).
Any advice would be great.
Thanks,
J.

I've really got an itch to buy a new computer - I've had my powerbook 12 months almost and... I just want something new to play with...!
I could easily afford an eMac - if I got an Apple loan, but I've played with lots of those already.
What I'd really like (and could probably stretch to) is an iMac G5. However, I'm not sure if I should wait a little while before buying one - i.e. for Rev B to come out (whenever that would be)... because in my experience Apple seem to fix and potential shortfalls with a computer quite quickly, and so Rev A is not always the best to go for - take the 12" PB for example, the first version had a really slow FSB (i think) whereas my one has a faster processor and MUCH fast FSB, which makes all the difference....
So what do you guys think? Anyone in the UK used their loan service before? Is it worth it - is it good value or should I go somewhere else and stop being lazy!!

That's what I have been trying! If you export as vCards you end up with a "contacts export.txt" file on desktop (or wherever). I can't make Address book recognise this to import. I thought I would be able to export directly to Address Book but can't make this work either. As for dragging vCards across, that was the first thing I tried. I had no luck. As I said; there must be an easy way!
Thanks anyway for trying to help out.

I love my new MacBook Air and I'm trying to squeeze every bit of battery life out of it as possible. As a result, I'm taking a different approach from my MacBook and not installing Flash on my MacBook Air. There is the occasional piece of content on the web that's Flash only, so I was wondering if instead of installing Flash altogether, can I simply use Google Chrome when I want to play such content? I've heard that Flash is built-in to Chrome, and I use Safari as my primary browser. This way I could keep my current workflow as it is, and simply launch Chrome whenever I want to play Flash content. Would that work?

I know there's gotta be a few NMSU MRers out there. Anyway, the campus bookstore will be selling Leopard at 6pm at Corbett Corner for $89 (a real EDU discount!). When I called the bookstore they didn't know if any specials were going on as of yet (like last time where you got a first gen 512mb Shuffle dirt cheap when you bought Tiger).
If there is anyone else out there interested, post in this thread!
Addendum: Nothing else is going to be happening sadly. No extra deal like there was with Tiger. Darn.

It's the larger one at the front (not the smaller one at the side)
I'm using ethernet cable and bluetooth but if it's a problem I could just stick in a wired keyboard

Tried disk utility from the OS X disc, tried PRAM, tried permissions again. Nothing.
So...
Just for sh8ts and giggles I went in and selected OS X as my start up disk thru System Preferences and, bingo, Macs boots fine now. :)
Now I just have to get to the bottom of the kernel panics.

I am getting into film editing on a small scale. I recently got a t2i and will be recording a lot of surf footage and down the road will be doing pictorial videos for a few clothing companies. So I was wondering would I really see a difference between the 13inch models compare to the 2 15" models? I plan on putting a SSD drive into which ever unit I decide on.
I am asking the community based on the fact that I don't want to spend 2,200 on the high end 15" model, when I would be getting similar results on the low end 13" model.
Thanks

Yes, I say reformatting in reference to virus....
I'm not sure what you mean by this. There has never been a virus in the wild that affects Mac OS X since it was released 10 years ago. The handful of trojans that exist can be easily avoided with some education and common sense and care in what software you install:

Hi guys,
My name's Ciarn, I'm a 3rd year medic at Peninsula Medical School own in the south west of the UK. In our 4th year we do a project on "Doctors as Teachers" and it requires creating a teaching aid of some kind, then writing it up.
I'm looking for a someone adept at iOS programming that might want to collaborate with me on this project, so that it might benefit both of our careers!
I'm looking to create an iPad app teaching medical students/doctors how to identify various tropical diseases via. microscopy. eg. a medical student on an elective somewhere is working in a small clinic, patients comes in with a fever, he/she takes a quick blood sample, chucks it on a slide and pops it under the microscope and can compare what they see to reference images/videos/descriptions on the app. Below would be an example of a particular subtype of malaria (the difference can be quite subtle so some kind of reference and description about what you're looking for is incredibly useful)
http://embryology.med.unsw.edu.au/Defect/images/Malaria_plasmodium_falciparum.jpg
The idea would be I would source all the content, write all the entries (which will be referenced to journal articles an whatnot) and you would design an application to present this information.
Sorry for the long post, but that's the idea in a nutshell! If anyone is interested please get in touch! There's no rush on this, I'm looking at a timescale of up to 12 months to finish it!

I think I might go for the NUDE. Slim, nice-looking and fitted so that I can place it in my soun dock. The rebel touch looks thick to fit into my sound dock.

If it truly is an official carrier unlock, then you can't lose it.
Yes, it's the official unlock. I personally went through the process with the carrier's technical support to do the unlock. It took a couple of days where they send the IMEI to Apple and they whitelist it etc.
Thanks for your answer, that's all I needed to know!

Hey so I found these two at my grandparents house today. One was my family's from when I was a kid and the other belongs to my grandparents. They still have both original 15" Apple monitors from the early 90's. I was just wondering what I could/should do with these. They're both in perfect working condition
